We have two furry family members of our own—Dora and Arthur! We understand just how important your pets are, which is why we warmly welcome two dogs at both our charming cottages. If you have more than two or even other pets, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to discuss your needs!

Your pampered pooches will enjoy their very own cozy throws for the sofa, a warm water muddy paws washing station, big towels for drying off, and delightful welcome treats!

We’re committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible, therefore, due to the layout of our grounds we do not accept dogs from the UK list of banned breeds.

We take great pride in our spotless cottages and have received reviews from both pet owners and guests without pets who appreciate our cleanliness. To keep everyone comfortable, we ask that you follow a few simple house rules:

1. Pets should never be left unattended in the cottage.

2. If your dogs love to snuggle up with you, just let us know and bring your own super king-size bedding—we'll leave the beds unmade for you.

3. Please dispose of any dog waste in the bin provided at the end of the drive.

 

If you want to have an evening out without your pet relaxed in the knowledge they are being cared for we offer a convenient dog sitting service in your cottage in the evenings by arrangement for just £20 for the first hour and £10 for each additional hour.

 

Get ready for some fantastic adventures! There are plenty of lovely walks right from our doorstep, you’ll find lots of information in our guest book. Explore the beautiful fields around the village (just watch out for livestock!) or venture to the stunning Lake District. If your dogs love the beach, you’re only a ten-minute drive from miles of dog-friendly coastline at The Solway coast, or you can visit St. Bees beach—known as the starting point of the coast-to-coast walk—just thirty minutes away. Plus, we recommend the local secure dog field Pawprints, complete with agility equipment, for some safe off-lead fun!
